Kid stuff

Tyler finally got a good night's sleep. His pain is pretty much those pesky intercostals, some topical pain at the surgery site, and the sore throat. Thank you to everyone for your sore throat suggestions. Not that it matters too much, but it turns out the sore throat was from 12 days of the NG tube, so the winning remedy was pudding.
Oh my god, Cozy Shack? More like, um . . . the coziest shack!
Althea returned to school today, yay! And she was met with joy and gifts from her friends. Including this hand-crocheted Gus by her friend and Engineering lab partner, and this silly goose hat. Because she is a silly goose.
Arthur is still holding off, he has lots of big feelings and missed his dad so much. Today, he hung out all day with Tyler and quietly put together this Lego Droideka (from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, for those who may not know).
Tyler and I met with the physiatrist today and he had all positive things to say. He is showing healthy progress towards his new normal and is ready to start therapy. If transport were available today, he would be in Vallejo already. So sometime tomorrow they’ll load him up in an ambulance where he will make the trek to Vallejo (with me and Arthur following behind).
We had a great day just quietly playing and Tyler catching up on a lot of sleep. He slept for 8 hours last night and for most of the day today. He took a day off before the hard work starts tomorrow.
