One month
The brief update on Tyler is that he’s still building upper body strength.Â
The static he has felt in his legs for a couple of days following his accident is “louder” following yesterday's FES cycle. Also, he has new static in his core!

Saturday began with coffee and breakfast with Tyler. Sleeping over reminded me of how much I miss him and how much I can’t wait for him to come home. On Tuesday, it will have been a month.Â
After breakfast, we took a quick tour of unvisited parts of the

Today started with PT and Tyler had a successful board transfer. I mentioned board transfers before, so for the uninitiated, a board transfer is pretty much how it sounds: a transfer via board (wood or plastic) to and from a wheelchair.Â

I spent most of today with the kids, helping with homework, and cleaning house. Tyler spent the day in therapy and by all accounts, it was another tough but good day.
I brought the kids to see Tyler at the end of his day, and he wheeled himself to the
Arthur visit!
Arthur made it to school! He overcame so much just to get up, get dressed, get out the door. Thanks to Cielo for supporting Arthur’s transition to school! He made it halfway through the day and wanted to see his dad. So we congratulated him for making it this
Rehab! Full Send!
Today was Tyler’s first full day of rehab. This means he had an hour of PT in the morning, and another in the afternoon. An hour of OT, and an SCI information class at the end of the day.Â
Despite the long day, we managed to get some outside
Putting the pain in physical therapy.
Tyler’s day started with Occupational Therapy, or it would have if not for his low blood pressure. Despite compression gear and tilting his chair back, his BP dipped to 81/47 so OT was a no-go today.Â
Orthostatic hypotension does improve with time, but it’s still frustrating for
Exhausted and here.
I seem to have bypassed a head cold (thanks to Dallas for sending a care package that included ginger-turmeric shots and vitamin C lozenges🔥)
Since it’s a weekend, Tyler’s schedule was lowkey. But don’t get it twisted, he worked HARD. Despite losing 20 pounds, he still has
